Case in point – That’s me, in my wedding dress, with box pleats.
They’re gorgeous. The pleats, I mean.
I have been wanting to make a box pleated table skirt for this table for awhile now, and while my boys were spoiling me on Mother’s Day (by leaving me alone) I finally got it done. I’m not thrilled with it, but not too bad for my first try! I wish I had made smaller pleats, though. Oh well! It serves its purpose and hides a bunch of junk!
Before, for comparison’s sake.

Yay Katie! Not to shabby. I agree with smaller pleats. How many times did we sew the dining room curtains before we got them just right?
ReplyDeleteI have a table that I was just thinking of doing this for. Yours looks amazing--even more enouragement to bust out the sewing machine. Great job.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I love the whole look. Very nice.

ReplyDeleteHi Katie,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your gate! It's perfectly shabby, and the shape is great! I love the way the dark wood of the table contrasts against all the white of the gate and accessories. Love the burlap skirt, too!
