To Do: Rearrange the Dining Room

Done!
I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago, before the Baby Gear Explosion of 2011 began.  The dining room will be home to the pack and play, swing, etc, etc, so I thought it might be nice to have some “pretty” pictures of it now.

After: (I think the gate is a little too tall…And clearly, I still need to do some accessorizing.)

After:  (I was too lazy to clean the living room again this time around, so an after isn’t really necessary.)

  1. Gorgeous! I love the brightness of the room. I absolutely love the large white unit - and the shelf above with the books and picture.... just perfect

  3. It looks great! If you wanted to, you could use the horizontal slats to drill into to hang the gate on the wall. Maybe make the top of the bottom slat even with the top of the dresser, that seems like it would take about six inches off and you wouldn't have to actually cut it down or anything.

  5. Great job! I love how you've rearranged the room! It looks so much bigger & brighter with essentially the same furniture pieces. I don't think the gate is too big at all. I think it just needs to be accessorized. Maybe a wreath hung right on the gate, and a vignette on the chest underneath it. Can't wait to see how you accesorize it.

I'm hosting a Throwback Thursdays Party, and would love it if you swung by and linked up something you made/bought/did from before blogging. Even bloggers who've been blogging for a while, like yourself, have things in their homes from before blogging. I can't wait to see what you bring.

  6. I LOVE your dining room! It's so rustic and romantic! I love it's simplicity and I wish I could incorporate this into my house. >Sigh< one day, when we're in the old farmhouse maybe. . .

  7. I can't get over how much I like the cloth in the hutch windows. I like it on that wall with the light coming in.
