I was more relaxed and able to enjoy my family when I wasn't constantly thinking about the need to spend precious time cleaning (unless you find it relaxing). My husband didn't care how the house looked - but he certainly appreciated me being less stressed about it. And I was able to enjoy evenings and weekends when I was able to focus on my family vs Evelyn Georgehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11625092371190713316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2857161791109887176.post-74102146514088632542015-06-27T15:52:38.084-05:002015-06-27T15:52:38.084-05:00Congratulations! My only advice is to trust yourself and your decisions and remember the kids are fine!Annapoladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01774014824759593567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2857161791109887176.post-84926274474616751602015-06-26T12:53:42.036-05:002015-06-26T12:53:42.036-05:00Congratulations, Katy! So glad we get to work together, just on a different level now! :)

As a mom who has an off-the-farm-job, I'd say the best advice is to try and leave work at work. I know that's not always possible, but I love leaving and heading home to my boys (and possibly my blog if there's time) for the evening without a bunch of work looming overhead. Freezer cooking is my source of sanity... especially when we are "in a season"... planting, harvest, soccer or softball. :) If you can afford it, get a cleaning lady. It makes your family pick up at least once a week, because that is what takes the most time and gives you a deadline.MyFarmersWifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09933270594929896397noreply@blogger.com
